Professor Hagan currently lives in western Sonoma County with his wife of 48 years, Annelie. They have two daughters and two grandchildren.

William "Bill" Hagan served as a Professor of Philosophy for thirty years with the California State University System.  He received his BA in Greek and Latin Classics from Santa Clara University, his MA in Philosphy from Gonzaga University, and earned his STL, STD (Doctorate in Sacred Theology) from Woodstock Jesuit School of Theology in Maryland.  He served as Associate Dean and Chair of Religious Studies for California State University, Dominguez Hills and was named Outstanding Professor for its School of Humanities in 1975.
